Near 12th Avenue on Capitol Hill? Need dessert? No problem! There are so many new places to check out in the neighborhood!

If you get lucky, you’ll find a short line at Molly Moon’s Homemade Ice Cream .  I am seriously addicted to their salted caramel flavor.

When not in the mood for ice cream, my salted caramel craving can be taken care of at Cupcake Royale , who luckily boasts a chocolate cupcake with salted caramel frosting.

To save me from the salted caramel, I found solace in the Elysian Stout flavored ice cream at Bluebird Ice Cream & Tea Room . Truly amazing!

Old School Frozen Custard features a rotating flavor of the day.  I was lucky and discovered the delicious chocolate peanut butter combo.  If you’re not one for surprises, Old School has you covered with a whole month’s worth of special flavors to plan ahead for.

How is Your Neighborhood Doing?

Tuesday, July 28th, 2009

The City of Seattle is currently "checking in" with neighborhoods around the City about the status of their neighborhood plans. A meeting for the Central Area was held on Tuesday night (7/27) about this topic, but because it was competing with the Central Area Candidates Forum on the same night and was located in Columbia City, only four people showed up to chat about their neighborhood.

We are working here to get a "make-up session" for the Central Area that will hopefully turn out both long-time neighborhood leaders and newcomers to the area.  We will let you know as soon as something is scheduled!

In the meantime, PLEASE fill out this questionnaire on your neighborhood. The City is actually looking at these responses, so it is important that we get as many people as possible filling these out!

And if you are hankering for some bedtime reading, the 1998 Central Area Action Plan can be found here .
